Overview

What is RDAP?

RDAP is a Government of Rwanda initiative co-financed by the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen the country's innovation ecosystem.

BRD is responsible for the Early Stage Startup Financing facility, while partner institutions lead complementary access-to-device and digital-capability components.

Early Stage Startup Financing (ESF)

Ignite

For idea-to-prototype startups registered in Rwanda for no more than five years and with annual revenue of no more than FRW 14.5 million. Grants range from about FRW 29 million to FRW 72 million for prototyping, market research, team building and early marketing.

Ignite+

For startups with a functional minimum viable product and annual revenue below FRW 72 million. Grants range from about FRW 72 million to FRW 145 million for product refinement, scaling, market expansion and investor readiness.
