The Export Credit Guarantee Facility (ECGF) is designed to improve access to finance for micro, small and medium enterprises engaged in the export value chain or operating with an export focus.
By covering part of a lender's credit risk, ECGF encourages participating financial institutions to finance exporters and export-linked businesses, supporting export growth, job creation and competitiveness in international markets.
Purpose

Greater lending to the export sector through a practical risk-sharing mechanism.
Value addition and a stronger export ecosystem across priority sectors.
How it works
ECGF covers up to 70% of an eligible loan, with a maximum of FRW 700 million per borrower.
